2014… IF YOU GO AWAY

Goodbye 2014
2014 is finishing...

Good and bad moments.

The Grandma Family wishes everyone a better year without wars, violence and unemployment and plenty of peace, social justice, dignity and new changes to improve our lives.

With the best wishes and thinking in loved people who have left us during this year, a beautiful song to remember all of them...

  If you go away
As I know you must
There is nothing left
In this world to trust
Just an empty room
Full of empty space

And I'd been the shadow
Of your shadow
If you might have kept me
By your side

If you go away...

JAMES BOND, MICHAEL JACKSON, ROMULUS AND REMUS

Today, we’ve been reviewing the present simple, the adverbs of frequency and the adjectives. We’ve been talking about our suburbs and its changes and we've chosen our new nationalities and jobs. We've received the visit of James Bond, the famous secret agent 007.

We’re a global family from 17 different European countries: a great variety of languages, cultures and lifestyles. This is the main reason for learning English: find a common language of communication.

At the end of the class, we’ve remembered the origin of Romulus and Remus’ legend and its affectation in our surnames: Wolf (English), Llopis (Catalan), López (Spanish), Lupus-i (Latin), Loup (French) or Lupo (Italian) and we've started a Scattergories Championship.

We've talked about English expressions and we've remembered Michael Jackson and his Leave me alone.

Have a nice evening!

THE LITTLE NICHOLAS HAS VISITED US

Today, I’ve met my new English family. They’re 16 people with different levels and ages. I’ve adopted them. After reviewing the visit of N and fill all the bureaucratic documentation in, we’ve started fixing the role of every member of the family. Because of today was the first day, I’ve tested the level of knowledge and we’ve played a little for breaking the ice (who is who, memo, the bomb…) but the most incredible thing has happened at the beginning of the class, when we’ve receiving the unexpected visit of The Little Nicholas. He has been so cute and educated!

Tomorrow, we’ll start with the grammar handbooks and we’ll choose our jobs and nationalities.

Have a nice afternoon!

THE GRANDMA

The Grandma
Hi! I'm the Grandma. I'm an old woman who lives in Sant Boi, a middle-size city next to the Llobregat river, near Barcelone. I was born in Andorra 90 years ago and I've worked very hard in different places until I won the lottery and I became a new rich but I was alone and I felt sad. One day, I decided to invest in a new business: I was going to buy a family for fighting against my loneliness. I did it. This logbook will explain you the adventures of The Grandma Family for the next three months. We start!

If you want to know something else about my hometown, watch this video about the Principality.

Thanks for reading us and enjoy!
