BRITISH CELEBRITIES (VII): ADELE

Adele
Adele Laurie Blue Adkins is an English songwriter and singer who has become very famous thanks to her songs Hometown glory, Rolling in the deep, Someone like you or Skyfall. She entered in the music world at age 14, when she discovered Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald. 

Adele has been the first singer to be named artist, album and song of the year by Billboard.  It was in 2011. One year later, she won the 2012 Grammy Awards in all six categories for which she was nominated. This same year, she confirmed that she had written and recorded the main theme song for James Bond’s fill Skyfall. She received the Order of the British Empire in 2013.
